Bank House is a very classy Georgian Town house which has been completely refurbished as a venue for group holidays. It sits in the heart of Bishop’s Castle which is a quirky medieval town famous for its festivals, music and art – and with great food and lovely pubs at hand.
The five guest bedrooms (all en suite) can all be set up with twin beds or a super king bed and the three largest rooms can have one additional full size single bed (one of these rooms can have two additional singles) - so the house can be set up for groups of 10 to 14. All of the bedrooms have en suite shower rooms (one also has a roll top bath). For larger groups we can arrange additional bedrooms with local B&Bs allowing you to use Bank House as a base for your stay.
Bank House can be booked on a B&B (the breakfast is top notch) or self catering basis and Gerry will work with you to make sure you have all the help you need. We work with some fabulous local caterers and will be happy to help with restaurant bookings. Food shopping locally is easy with a great deli, butcher and Co-op within a minute of the house. if you opt for self catering the kitchen is huge and very well equipped.
There are three reception rooms all with wood burning stoves. This includes the oak paneled sitting room, lovely dining room which can seat up to 18 and the large yoga studio on the 2nd floor which is ideal for activities, parties and for yoga (of course). The sitting room has a smart TV with Netflix.
The area has much to offer with fabulous walking in the Shropshire Hills AONB, great cycling routes (for those that enjoy the challenge of a hill or two) and riding available nearby. We can arrange guides for walking, local artists to run workshops and yoga instructors. Bank House hosts a number of art events each year as well as yoga retreats and cookery masterclasses. Transform Hair & Beauty is next door if you are looking for some pampering. We can also recommend two local therapists who can offer aromatherapy or sports massage in Bank House.
