Property Details

Hafod Grove offers very private and comfortable accommodation for large groups of friends and family The huge kitchen dining room seats up to 26 guests which makes it ideal for celebrations all year round. Very private location with private entrance drive and gardens of over an acre. Enjoying a gorgeous coastal setting within the glorious Pembrokeshire National Park. There are numerous local sports and activities to participate in. Under a mile from the sea to our local beauty spot of Ceibwr Bay (excellent for coasteering or walking the coastal path). Lots of local sports and activities There are gorgeous sandy beaches nearby - you can drive directly onto Newport sands which means any sports equipment is easy to transport..
Situated between the coastal village of Newport and the bustling Market Town of Cardigan there is plenty to do and see with lots of local bars and restaurants to sample along the way.
Hafod Grove is the ideal choice for large groups who like to get away from it all whilst offering spacious accommodation and the ideal opportunity to party without disturbing anyone except a few cows! Firework parties are allowed with obvious attention to safety.
The price includes unlimited wifi and sky + films and sports. The huge 33' kitchen dining room seats up to 26 guests and is the hub of the House. Ideal for large groups and celebrations with an Aga for winter and electric range for summer, American fridge etc the kitchen is well equipped. The wide spacious halls and two staircases make it an interesting period property. There are two large reception rooms both with open fires private views and Reception 2 can double as Bedroom 7 sleeping 2 guests on a sofa bed if necessary.There is a ground floor cloakroom as well as a new shower room with wc. At the end of the hall, next to the kitchen is a small bedroom with a 4'6" bed (one side against the wall) which is ideal for those who find stairs difficult and can be used by couple or solos or children.
The main easy-rise staircase leads to the master bedroom with double bed and cot, which has a full en suite bathroom with shower and double ended French bath. Next door is the family bedroom with French double bed 2 trundle beds which can be used as two singles or one double and a cot bed. This is ideal for those with young children. Both of these large front bedrooms have distant sea views.
On the landing is the main family bathroom with 6' antique bath and a double shower wc. etc. The green bedroom has 3 single beds in (one has a trundle so this can provide an extra bed should you not wish to use reception 2 as a bedroom) this bedroom has a new en suite shower room with w.c. as well as separate vanity unit. It is useful again as a family bedroom or for children or guests who don't mind sharing. The cream bedroom is slightly smaller but has twin beds and an en suite shower room w.c. Both these bedrooms have pretty garden views. The final small bedroom by the servants stairs has a 4'6 double bed (with one side against the wall) but easy access to the kitchen and enjoys pretty woodland views.

Hafod Villa (sleeps up to 8) is very private with separate entrance drive parking and a huge private garden. Frequently used by two families this cottage can easily be integrated with Hafod Grove House both internally via a short corridor and externally by opening 7' high garden gates. The cottage is very different to the main house but equally as comfortable. There is a sunny sitting room which seats 8 guests with sky tv + films and sports, a log burner and wifi.. The large bright kitchen/dining room is well equipped. There is also a large conservatory. The ground floor bedroom has a king size bed and cot and en suite shower room w.c. Upstairs is a four poster family bedroom with a pair of bunk beds (adult size) convenient for a young family. Next door is a twin bedroom. Both of these bedrooms have pretty garden views. There is a family bathroom with restricted height shower over the bath & w.c..
When combined Hafod Grove can sleep up to 26 guests.
Both properties have huge private gardens with amply parking. There are swings and picnic benches and large grassed areas which are ideal for games, picnics or relaxing in.
Locally there are lots of sports and activities such as horse-riding, fishing, coasteering, canoeing, golf, walking (you can see the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal path from the upper windows of the House) and the beautiful Preseli hills with wild ponies and ancient stone monuments. Not to mention he wonderful local beaches offering many water-sports and boat trips. Lots of pubs bars and restaurants to sample, There are numerous galleries and craft trails to visit and the area is a nature-lovers delight with plenty of inspiration for artists and photographers. Numerous sightings of rare sea mammals from the cliffs of Ceibwr Bay and Cardigan Island. Close to St. Dogmaels Abbey, Pentre Ifan (ancient burial chamber) Cardigan Castel, Castel Henllys; a reconstructed iron-age fort, The Shire Horse farm, Kilgerran Wild-life park and Kilgerran Castel two micro breweries in the Gwaun Valley as well as the candlemakers workshop There is plenty to do and see in the area. Days out include for children; Folly Farm (with lions as well as fairground), Oakwood Theme Park (for white knuckle rides), St David's Cathedral (smallest City in the UK), The quaint Georgian town of Aberaeron, to name a few days out.

Hafod Grove House (sleeps 18) is spacious and comfortable with a huge 33' kitchen dining room seating up to 26 guests this is ideal for those special celebrations for catching up and having a great time with friends. There is a TV above the fireplace (with USB sockets for streaming any special movies you have made about the bride!, an Aga for winter and electric range for summer, American fridge with ice-maker etc the kitchen is very well equipped for those special occasions. With the addition of the adjoining cottage the property can sleep up to 26. There are internal doors between both properties as well as outside gates that easily turn the two properties into one and the dining area in the main house can seat everyone. The wide spacious halls and two staircases make it an interesting period property - ideal for those memorable photographs.
