Our 5* self-catering cottages are light, spacious, and contemporary in style: each has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with wood burner plus a private, south-facing garden with outside seating, BBQ, and views across undulating fields to woods beyond.
Hall Barn is the larger of our two cottages and sleeps up to nine people in four bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor. This property has two first floor en suite bathrooms and a separate ground floor shower room.
Quaker Barn sleeps up to eight people in three bedrooms and has two en suite bathrooms as well as a separate bathroom, all of which are on the ground floor.
Hall Barn and Quaker Barn are situated next door to each other and are connected via a covered walkway. They can either be rented separately or together to sleep a total of 17 guests and we also welcome up to two dogs per property.
Each cottage is equipped with an oven, microwave, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer facilities, TV with Freeview, a DVD player, Sonos sound system and WiFi. We also provide a complimentary supply of logs for the wood burners and, when renting both barns, we can also provide you with an additional table and chairs so that your entire group can dine together in Hall Barn.
Set in the grounds of a 17th century farmhouse, the location of Quaker Barns makes for a truly relaxing, rural retreat. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife and deer can often be seen leaping through the fields. A neighbouring footpath allows you to enjoy country walks direct from the doorstep and quiet lanes, ideal for cyclists, surround the property.
There are also a variety of activities that can be held at Quaker Barns to make your stay an event to remember - as an example, previous groups have enjoyed beauty pamper parties and hired hot tubs to add to the relaxing Quaker Barns experience and others have employed the services of outside caterers for afternoon tea and evening dinner parties. Please contact us for further details.
Quaker Barns is also an ideal base from which to explore some of Norfolk’s major inland and coastal attractions including the Broads National Park and the stunning North Norfolk coast. Several beautiful stately homes, gardens, and picturesque hidden villages are also only a short drive away as is the historical city of Norwich.
