The Manor on the Monnow is a spacious baroque manor house located within a 10 minute walk of the centre of Monmouth, a charming town with a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars making it one of the top 3 places to live in the UK according to the Sunday Times.
The Manor has more than enough space indoors to sleep 24 comfortably in 11 bedrooms, 7 of which have their own en suite, with 4 bedrooms sharing 2 family bathrooms. A couple of cots can be provided for the under 3's. There's more than enough communal space too. The kitchen and breakfast room make catering for your party a breeze, whilst the large, light and airy dining room can seat all of you around the table. The Great Hall with underfloor heating, a wood burner, satellite TV, DVD player and music system is the perfect place to come together at the end of a long day. Adjoining the Hall is a large games room equipped with table tennis, pool, table football and more.
Venture outside via the kitchen or Great Hall to the patio area, there's plenty of seating for you to sit back and relax whilst you make use of the barbeque or spend some time in the hot tub. There is a large lawned area across the back of the property which leads down to the River Monnow which slowly winds its way downstream to the River Wye. The site is fenced, gated and at the end of a lane so there's very little traffic.
You may choose to entertain your hen and guests at the property making your own fun and games, and it's certainly a great property in which to do so. If you fancy something a little more luxurious how about hiring in caterers to host your own themed dinner party. But equally if your hen is the outdoorsy type the location of The Manor in the Wye Valley, close to the Forest of Dean, gives you access to a whole host of outdoor pursuits. How about trying your hand at canoeing or kayaking down the River Wye. It's a great day out! Or you could swing through the trees in Tarzan and Jane style at GoApe.
Whatever you decide to do we are sure you will have a great time at The manor. We look forward to welcoming you.
