Dine on the terrace and gaze at the magnificent ruins of Raglan Castle, watch the sun set over Mynydd Pen-y-Fal, Abergavenny’s own Sugarloaf Mountain. Set in its own extensive grounds, the property is the perfect private, rural retreat.
For those wishing simply to relax, High Cloud offers plenty of entertainment on site; including a hot tub, an outdoor heated swimming pool (summer only), croquet lawn and games room with table tennis, table football and pool. Take a stroll through the woods and along a waterfall strewn stream. If you are feeling more energetic there is a grassy running track around the farm’s perimeter.
High Cloud is also ideal for those wishing to make the most of the myriad sporting opportunities in the Forest of Dean or the Brecon Beacons.
A country pub is just a 5 minute drive away at the bottom of the hill. Monmouth, an attractive border market town with independent shops and a lively cultural life is 15 minutes by car. Award winning pubs and restaurants are within easy reach.
The properties provide spacious, comfortable accommodation, with new furnishings and quality fittings.
The Farmhouse sleeps up to 12 people in 4 bedrooms; 2 family rooms with a double bed and two singles, a double and a twin bedroom. There are 3 bathrooms.
The Barn has dining facilities for up to 24 and can sleep 12 in 6 bedrooms (2 doubles, 4 twins). It has 3 showers and 5 loos and is accessible for wheelchairs.
Both properties have fully equipped kitchens in (2 in the Barn!) and spacious lounges with large TVs, DVD players and Sky TV. There are also plenty of snugs, nooks and crannies for small groups and peaceful reflection.
Outside there are verandahs and sun terraces with garden furniture for outside dining, and a large BBQ. Parking for 12+ cars.
Only 1 and a half hours from Birmingham, 2 and a half from London. Easy access to M4, M5 and M50.
