North End Farmhouse sleeps 14, The Pavillion sleeps 2 +1-2., The Dairy sleeps 2+2.
Northend Farmhouse provides ample accommodation, sleeping 14 in an idyllic rustic setting. The house combines the best of its tudor features, including a thatched roof and a great hall (providing an excellent dance floor) with its vast stone, open fireplace. An Inglenook fireplace, old bread oven, wood burning stove and mullion windows combine with the modern comforts necessary to provide a really relaxing, versatile space with all its country charms.
This includes: large flat smart screen TVs, mp3 stations and web access, a large kitchen with a bespoke refractory table that seats 14, a spacious kitchen complete with 2 ranges, including an AGA and a large washroom and utility area.
The Pavilion is Symondsbury's old cricket pavilion which was moved and restored here. It sleeps 2+2 using a king sized bed and a sofa bed. It is a cosy comfortable retreat situated above and behind the main farmhouse and is perfect for additional accommodation for your group.
Due to it’s elevated position and large windows it really does have the most wonderful views.
The Dairy used to be the milking parlour for 8 cattle. It is now a very comfortable spacious 1 bedroomed let with open plan kitchen living dining area and a spiral staircase to taking you to the loft bedroom and bathroom.. The sitting room sofa is a large comfortable double bed enabling relaxed sleeping for 2+2. There is also wifi and an excellent upright Strauss piano as well sky on the tv.
These 3 buildings are set in its own grounds within a 100 acre farm, the surrounding area boasts unspoilt views, a picturesque lake and a country garden with lawns to enjoy outdoor entertainment, a large stone terrace with a gas bbq and garden dining facilities. The house also benefits from organic gardens where you can help your self.

North Ends sleeping arrangements are flexible with potentially 5 doubles or 4 doubles and a room with 4 singles. Additional sleeping is acceptable by agreement. Four of the bedrooms have huge westerly views over the lake. The master bedroom benefits from a shower en suite. There is a family room and 4 doubles. There are oak mullion windows and a recently revealed stone window that local legend says that the nuns used to pass bread down to wayfarers.
Northend's view includes Golden cap, the 2nd highest point on the South Coast. Seatown is the local beach (1.5 miles) where the Anchor is only pub in rural beach location in the vicinity .
The hill behind the farm opens up a magnificent 360 degree view of the coast to and beyond Lyme Regis to the south west and Portland to the south east. To the north is the Marshwood Vale, a lush rich dairy vale surmounted by the Dorset peaks of Pilsdon, Leusdon, and Coneys Castle. The Marshwood vale is the home of Denhay farm, famous for it's cheeses and bacon and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's 'River Cottage' TV series. River Cottage HQ. is still nearby in Axminster, which is also the nearest station. The Marshwood vale is also a haven for cyclists and walkers and the Shave's Cross pub situated in the middle is only an hours brisk walk from the farm for those that like to work up an appetite.
