The Old Rectory is spectacular Georgian mansion offering luxurious but comfortable accommodation. Spoil the bride to be and your friends with a special weekend here, as the house makes a superb and relaxed location as a hen house, perfect for connecting with friends (and perhaps the odd drinking game).
There are 11 spacious bedrooms, which sleep up to 29 guests, and the four reception rooms include a games room, a breakfast room, a dining room and a sitting room. The Dining room can seat up to 24, and the large table makes for an excellent beer pong table (apparently). The sitting room boasts comfortable leather sofas and chairs, with full Sky TV and Bluetooth speakers for when you want to move the coffee table to one side and create your own dancefloor. Internet coverage is provided throughout the property via WiFi.
Your home for the weekend is set in the heart of the unspoilt village Dorset village of Symondsbury, which has a traditional cosy pub, a superb café/restaurant, a shop and even it's own beauty salon. Nearby Bridport offers more pubs and restaurants, while Dorchester and Weymouth are both within taxi reach if you'd like to organise for some late night partying at a nightclub. The beach is just a mile and a half away if you want a visit to blow away the hangovers, and the walk up Colmer's hill next to the house is worth the sweat for the panoramic views.
There are plenty of activities for groups in the local area, including horse riding, clay shooting, rib charters, bicycle tours, paintball and go-karting. However, if you'd rather make the most of your time at the house, you could bring in outside help including caterers, beauty treatments, murder mystery and cocktail masterclasses.
The south facing verandah and garden make for an excellent place to enjoy the sun and relax with a G&T, or indeed a Hen Olympics for the competitive hen.
