Yes – you can take us over! It’s the perfect place for family and friends to get together for a short break. Large groups are most welcome to use both The Barn and The Stables, which we’ve called the ‘Steadings’ if hired together. All in all, there’s room for 15 people, and there are 2 travel cots and highchairs, plus a z-bed for one extra small adult. The largest cottage (The Barn) has ample room for you all to dine and relax together. There is plenty of space inside and out for you to relax together, and of course you will have exclusive use of all our facilities and parking areas.

Your treatments are carried out by our carefully selected therapists, who ensure you are enveloped in calmness, serenity and relaxation from the moment you embark on your treatment journey. Using heated treatment beds and lovely fresh products the therapists offer a range of treatments from warming deep tissue massage, replenishing facials, hand & feet treats, to holistic full body journeys. It’s the perfect way to unwind and enhance your stay!

At Rachel’s secret tea room you can enjoy some TLC on a plate.
Rachel’s tea room is held in Belper on the edge of the Peak District. Rachael’s Secret Tea Room is now available any day of the week as long as prior booking is made. A minimum of 4 people is required for an afternoon tea to go ahead. If you would prefer to have afternoon tea in your Holiday Cottage but without all of the fuss, then please contact me as I can provide the vintage crockery as well as the food. I can prepare, serve and look after your guests or I can leave you to entertain, your choice. Perfect for a hen do or other special occasions.
I ask for a donation of £15 per person to reflect time spent at this unique experience.

Why don’t you have a relaxing day? Maybe after a heavy night partying, or make sure you are looking your best before you head out? Invite over local beauty therapists and get your chosen spa treatments. Or if you fancy some fresh air there are gorgeous walks right from your door into the beautiful Peak District. With lots of different independent shops, great tea rooms and lots of stunning local history (e.g.
when you drive across the surrounding park and see Chatsworth House for the first time, a sumptuous pile of yellow stone surrounded by gardens, fronted by the River Derwent and backed by a tree-covered hillside, it fairly takes your breath away. It is not hard to see why this is the premier tourist attraction of the area.
Haddon Hall is the finest example of a medieval manor house currently in existence in England. The hall is one of the seats of the Dukes of Rutland and lies alongside the River Wye, just south of Bakewell.
Bakewell is the only market town within the Peak District National Park boundary and its attractive courtyards, independent shops, cafés and its location on the River Wye make it a hugely popular destination for tourists to the Peak District.
Set in a gorge Derbyshire’s premier resort Matlock Bath grew around its warm springs discovered in 1698 – they run at a constant temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. In the 19th century the town developed as a spa – apparently even Queen Victoria visited. There is much to see and do in and around Matlock and Matlock Bath. Each autumn the town holds the Venetian Nights – illuminations over and along the Derwent river, including a parade of illuminated boats.
