Cley Windmill exudes character, warmth and comfort and a stay here will be one of life's memorable experiences. It has been converted into a guesthouse and the old stables and boathouses are now stylish bedrooms with the addition of Dovecote which is a self catering retreat.

We welcome both B&B and Self Catering guests. The windmill is also available for private house parties and weddings, should you wish to entertain your guests in a unique and magical setting.

The main feature of the ground floor is a stunning circular living room filled with antique furniture and cosy sofas set around a roaring open fire. The beamed dining room which makes up part of the original warehouse, was built in 1713, and is a wonderful warm and friendly room in which to dine.

All the upstairs rooms and galleries benefit from breaktaking views over the marshes and out to sea. All bedrooms are ensuite, with televisions and kettles and your basket of tea and coffee will be replenished every day..

You can enjoy pre-dinner drinks by the fire in the circular living room, or, in the summer months, sit on the lawn, looking out to sea over the reeds and marshes. The windmill is fully licensed and we hold a good selection of wine.

Our chefs cook nearly every evening and our cooking is predominately of the old-fashioned home-made English country variety. Guests dine by candlelight and the cost of our three course dinner is £32.50.

For that special occasion, just let us know and we can arrange to have a bottle of champagne or wine left in your room or put on your table at dinner. We can even arrange with a local florist to deliver flowers.

We now offer the opportunity to hire the entire windmill for exclusive days or weeks at a time. This is a unique and memorable way to entertain your friends and family for that special celebration, birthday, hen party etc.,

The windmill can sleep up to 20 in 9 rooms on a B&B basis. Evening meals and lunches are also available.
