Peak Retreat offers an ideal venue for a small group of hens. If you want to have a fun, outdoor, country break get-together with your best mates before you get married this could be the house for you! If you want a rural setting but a house not totally isolated - then Peak Retreat has been designed with you in mind. Ideal for a weekend. In the Peak District National Park there is a lot to see and do. If your hens like walking and being active why not plan yourselves an action packed weekend rather than the normal headachy round of nightclubs and drinking. The Pennine Way, Kinder Scout and surrounding area of Hayfield is on your doorstep. The moorlands are starkly beautiful and offer many stiff hikes but gentler strolls can also be found. Nothing finer than nattering your way around a circuit with all your friends then returning to a warm house glowing from the exercise. Or experience local inn hospitality on a PUB2PUB Q&A itinerary. Mountain biking is another option, lots of trails abound. If you want extreme challenges you could even “Go Ape!” on treetop walkways and zip wires, or visit a local indoor climbing wall! If you are hens that like to do your own cooking and enjoy eating together with fine wine then the kitchen diner at Peak Retreat will be perfect for you. The kitchen is well equipped to cater for large dinner parties and also has a big table and 9 comfortable chairs. Having a good space to eat together is important and you deserve to enjoy your own party. However outside catering could be arranged if you prefer. Some hens may wish to collapse and watch TV or a film after dinner. You will find a very up to date selection of DVD’s in the lounge/snug with many new releases. There is also a CD player but bring your own music as tastes differ. Perhaps you would prefer to eat hen food out? A 5 min walk gets you to Hayfield and although you won’t find a nightclub, there are lots of really good pubs, (9 within half a mile!) most of which serve food and there are two restaurants. No car needed and a short walk home! FACILITIESNo smoking.
