Situated above the village of Lorton, Darling How, affords fantastic views of the Lakeland Fells. An old Georgian Farmhouse it has been renovated to a high standard to accommodate up to ten people. On Whinlatter Pass heart of the Lake District, it is the perfect place for family or friends to gather for a break or for celebrations. From the door there a hundreds of walks and easy access to the high fells, there is off road access to the Whinlatter Mountain Bike Trails and the Whinlatter Visitors Centre with its Osprey Nest Camera, fantastic cafe and Go Ape High Ropes Course is just 2 miles away. The Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwentwater, Crummock Water and Loeswater are all within 7 miles and the towns of Keswick and Cockermouth are each less than 15 minute drive. The accommodation consists of 5 bedrooms - 2 doubles, 2 twins and 1 zip and link (can be a king size or a twin). There are 3 bathrooms – 1 with shower and bath, and 2 with showers. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and comfortable sofa’s with a large window looking out onto the fell opposite. The Kitchen is very large with a dinning table that comfortably seats 10. There is a french door that leads out onto the patio from here which is a fantastic place to watch the sun go down in the evening. PRICE INFORMATION
